Brandon EarlyMore PostsMy Most Used App…

Dropbox is easily the most used app I have.  I access it from my office PC, my MacBook Pro, my iPad, and my iPhone (and even my Droid X when I am using it).  I love the ability to set up folders that I can share with friends, and the public links I can create for a file I want to share with everyone.

If you do not have a Dropbox account click here and sign up.  By clicking here Dropbox will reward me with 500MB of FREE bonus space and if you get others to sign up you will get 500MB of FREE bonus space per person.  I have used several other “in the cloud” file storage sites (I am currently checking out Google Drive) but this has been the best by far, and it is a pyramide sceme worth investing in…since it TOTALLY FREE!

Brandon EarlyMore PostsiPad Apps I Wish I Knew How to Use…

There are a ton of apps I think are so cool but I just cannot get a feel for them or I just do not know how to use them.  Here are 3 apps that fall in that category.

ActionMethod (Free for iPhone, $1.99 for iPad)
I want to be more organizes and I hear that Action method along side the book “Making Ideas Happen” could help me do this.  I have considered ActionMethod a while ago, download an actual sample sheet here.  It is one of those things that looks cool, and I would like to do it but when I grab a sheet of Action Method paper or the app I end up staring off into space.  This is a me issue not an app issue.  I just bought the book, now let’s see how long it takes me to read…I will add this as action step #1 in this app!

Mind Mapping (FREE to Big Bucks)
I love brainstorming and mind dumping, I just cannot get the hang of mind mapping.  I have a few friends who use it, love it, and would not prep sermons any other way.  I have asked my friend Mike Goldsworthy  to help me understand mind mapping, show how he uses it, and to share a few apps to help us mind map.  Come back tomorrow!

I Am T-Pain ($.99)
I don’t know what it is about this app but I just cannot get it to work without hearing a bunch of crackling and popping.  I tried to use it for announcements one night….FAIL.  This app is fun but it never works perfectly for me.

Brandon EarlyMore PostsIn The Cloud…Polleverywhere

If you have not heard of Polleverywhere it is a killer interactive communication tool.  Create multiple choice or open ended questions/polls and receive live feedback as people vote via text message.  You can present your polls online form their site, download and add in your presentation software (Mac and PC), or embed the poll’s code on your website. This is totally free for up to 40 votes per poll, if you need more that 40 votes you can purchase a larger plan. We hosted an event and wanted to use Polleverywhere so we purchased the 250 response plan for one month, you are not locked into any contracts or surprised by hidden fees.  The polls brought a new element to our teaching, the attendees had fun, and they were brought into the message.

Polleverywhere recently added some cool new features like adding images to your polls.  Instead of asking a question like, “What is your favorite Fast Food Restaurant?” And listing places, you can inset an image or their logo.  This is a pretty cool feature for our visual generation.

Here’s some insight on their new features…

Brandon EarlyMore PostsGrab This: ZigZag

Have you ever wanted to draw out driving directions for someone over the phone but they obviously cannot see you?  Or wanted to share the Gospel via live drawing over the internet while describing how to get to heaven?  Ok, I can’t think of a time when I needed to do either of those things BUT NOW YOU CAN!!!

ZigZag is basically a whiteboard on your iPad (boring), but wait, there’s more!  The value added is that you can send out a URL (web address) and people can tune in to your whiteboard session…LIVE.  I may not be “selling” it to you with all my slick talk but I don’t have to…it is FREE!

Watch this video and think of the endless uses for this killer app!
